Dig test trenches

Follow instructions from grid operator

Only dig after the location of cables and pipes has been determined by test trenches within 1.5 meters of the specified location - Report any abnormal location or damage to the manager - When using an excavator, use a non toothed excavator bucket Safety measures for working near or in excavations - Good shoring and slope facilities - Adjust the slope of the slope to the depth of the excavation and the nature of the subsoil - Excavated earth at a safe distance - Ensure that sheet piling fits well with the edge of the excavation - Vehicles, materials and equipment at a safe distance - Fencing around excavation - No gas cylinders in excavation - Provide two entrances - Consider deep excavation as a confined space Legally required information exchange between grid operator and digger Obligations according to the Excavation Scheme - Orientation by requesting location data - Obligation for the excavator/actual digger to dig carefully and to provide the opportunity to do so - Reporting damage to cable or pipe to the grid operator - Mandatory reporting of every excavation activity to KLIC/Cadastre

Safety measures (working at height) - Install a safe scaffolding, platform or work floor - Installing effective fencing, handrails or other similar facilities: minimum handrail, intermediate handrail and plinth (edge molding) - Install safety nets - Close floor openings - Use personal protective equipment Safety measures (working on sloping roofs) - Use gangways: when the roof covering is not strong enough and to move on the sloping surface - Hang up safety nets when there are large openings in the roof and provide roof edge facilities at the edges of the sloping roof Safety measures (working on flat roofs within four meters of the roof edge) - Install roof edge protection or safety nets - Use of safety harnesses, if collective protection is impossible
